Machine Shop Supervisor

Our opening is actually for a person to prepare cost estimates for RFQ’s, expedite vendors, and assist in purchasing of subcontract machining, materials and related services.

We have used this job title as a means of attracting a person with the kind of experience our opening for Cost Estimator requires. The position for which we are recruiting does not involve supervision of a machine shop and related duties with the exception of cost estimating.

This position requires a minimum of three years experience preparing cost estimates for machined parts, related processes (plating, heat treating), and mechanical assemblies; ability to interpret mechanical blueprints, including working knowledge of geometric tolerancing; relevant purchasing experience that includes sub contract machining.

NDT Inspector

Stein Seal Company, founded in 1955, is a manufacturer of precision components for aerospace and industrial applications. We are located outside of Lansdale, Pa, a western suburb of Philadelphia. We are registered to the current ISO standard.

Our opening is for an experienced inspector to perform dimensional first-piece and in-process inspection of precision machined parts, using measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, depth and bore gauges, and CMM. This position also includes NDT operations.

Our inspection department includes many late model CMM's, including Zeiss and Federal.

• Minimum 3 years experience performing dimensional inspection of machined parts.
• NDT level 1 or 2.
• Experience working with CMM's - programming experience preferred.
• Ability to work from drawings containing geometric dimensioning and tolerancing features.

Machinist Wanted

We are looking for machinists who love to be challenged by making close tolerance parts using the latest high tech equipment available today.

We have a clean, air conditioned, world class machine shop with the latest state of the art equipment. Training, continuous improvement, & Lean Manufacturing is our goal on a daily bases.

We have 50 + CNC machines which consist of 2 - 5 axis CNC milling centers, 2 & 4 axis lathes with live tools, CNC cylindrical grinders, up to our state of the art 9 axis Multi-center Turn/Mills.

We supply parts to multiple Aerospace customers, which include Jet engine manufacturers, power generation industry, US government, & many other industrial manufactures. The parts made are challenging; when produced they give you, the machinist, a great sense of accomplishment.

Our Company has a great team atmosphere. Our supervisors are CNC programmers. There is a close relationship between the supervisor and machinist; all share the same goal of manufacturing the best quality parts in the most efficient way.

Currently, there are openings for the following positions:

• All-Around Machinist (CNC lathe and mill): day shift short-run cell

• Manual Machinist (engine lathe)  (day shift)

• CNC Turn/Mill and Lathe Machinist (night shift)

• CNC Multi-Axis Turn/Mill (night shift)

• CNC Mill Machinist (to run mill and be trained on CNC ID/OD Grinder)   (night shift)

Our night shift machinists receive a 10% shift premium (10% is added to their rate).

Requirements

We have found that the nature of our work requires at least 5 years experience which must include set-up, and working to close tolerances. You must have a working knowledge of speeds and feeds, G codes, and be able to work from blueprints that include geometric tolerancing.
