Drafter - Mechanical

Overall Purpose:

·        Creating CAD models and drawings that exhibit the details and methods of production for complex mechanical seal systems and precision components for rotating equipment used in the aerospace, nuclear, chemical, petrochemical, and marine industries

·        Activities necessary for the functional testing of mechanical seals in a dynamic test lab

 Job Requirements Include:

·        Good mechanical aptitude

·        Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T)

·        Organizing, updating, and processing engineering files and documents

·        Ability to read customer drawings and specifications to interpret design requirements

·        Basic engineering calculations

·        A.S. or A.A.S. degree in Mechanical Design, Drafting, or equivalent from an accredited institution

·        Computer skills in Adobe Acrobat, 

·        Experience with Autodesk Inventor and/or AutoCAD preferred

·        Manufacturing knowledge a plus

 Accountabilities:

·        Work with Engineering to efficiently generate CAD models and drawings that are accurate, and provide the necessary details of component parts, assemblies, and test rigs

·        Generate engineering bill of materials

·        Perform tests in our dynamic test lab with a variety of duties required for the maintenance, build, operation, and teardown of dynamic test rigs

 

 

Design & Development Engineer

We have an immediate opening for an engineer to handle all aspects of the custom design, testing, and manufacturing of complex mechanical seal systems and precision components for rotating equipment used in the aerospace, nuclear, chemical, petrochemical, and marine industries.  Position engages all aspects of mechanical engineering design skills (mechanics, fluid dynamics, heat transfer, materials, etc.) and interfaces directly with manufacturing and test lab to see product through from concept to delivery.

Requirements:

 

  • BSME + minimum 3 years combined experience in product design, development, testing, and project management
  • Computer skills in MS Word, Excel, and Powerpoint
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering prints/specifications and Piping & Instrument Diagrams [P&ID]
  • Strong engineering application and analytical skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and time-management skills
  • Ability to travel to customers and suppliers (up to 15% travel)
Desirable (not required):
  • Experience in the design of rotating equipment
  • 2D sketching and 3D modeling experience
  • Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and/or Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) software
  • Familiarity with API-682, API-610, and ASMEB73.1 standards
  • Experience working in an ISO 9001 or AS 9100 work environment

 

Project Manager

Overall purpose: Coordinate, implement and finalize projects according to specifications and deadlines using material or technology needed to accomplish project objectives.

Accountabilities:

  • Oversee the project team and manage confilects as they arise
  • Responsible for planning, execution and delivery of products
  • Coordinate with various departments throughout the company
  • Maintain compliance with company policies, safety procedures, ISO, OSHA, and other governmental regulations
  • Assist with projects as needed

Required:

  • Degree in a technical field
  • Project management experience / PMP certification, with at least 10 years experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (ability to speak French is a plus)
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering prints, attention to detail
  • Up to 10% travel to customers and/or suppliers

General:

  • Computer skills in MS Word, Excel, Project and PowerPoint
  • Ability to multi-task, work in detail, handle stress and deadlines
  • Interacting with multiple departments and working independently
